Giant rainbows coming to RC

The general membership will be treated to a Spectacular Program presented by nine members
of BHFF who banded together to explore one part of Alaska that normally only Brown Bears get to
fish. This place is in Southwest Alaska in the heart of Katmai National Park. Untouched by diversions,
dams, or roads, the Alagnak River cuts through rocky headlands and braids through tundra
landscapes.
This prolific river gave these Black Hills Flyfishers an experience from which stories and memories are
made.
Come to The Journey Museum and experience the rugged wilderness where 26-inch Rainbows were
being fished giving room to the big Brown bears that chased salmon up gravel bars.
This is a meeting you won’t want to miss. Social starts at 6:30 p.m. and program at 7 p.m. Thursday
October 12, 2006, at The Journey Museum.
