Youth Program Fly Tying Instructions
Each fall, as the days become shorter and cooler, the youngsters clean the fishing gear to prepare it
to be stored for the winter. Then the fly tying kits are brought out and several weeks of fly tying
instruction begin.
In the fall of 2006 BHFF volunteers developed a fly tying curriculum designed to get the students new
to fly tying familiar with the basics. Then each week new techniques are taught to progressively build
the students' skills.
